Robert Ugbomeh Collins
Robert ugbomeh collins (born 06 Jan, 1989) is a Nigerian footballer currently playing in Italy for AC Pro sesto. His position is that of midfielder.
Personal life
Robert attended Saka Tinubu memorial high school Lagos in Nigeria but gave it up to pursue a professional football career.
Club career
Robert began his career in his home country of Nigeria playing for (Pepsi football academy) where he spent 3 years before relocating with his family in Italy joining US Malo fc in January 2003. During his time at US Malo fc he attracted lots of interest from many italian clubs. In 2004 he then attended Inter Milan football school of Mario Corso where he was voted and awarded best foreign player.
Robert has been linked with clubs like AJ Auxerre, ZTE FC, AC Sparta Praha, Le Havre football club. He was taken to Auxerre by ex nigerian international Taribo West and to AC Sparta Praha by ex danish player Mikkel Beck.
International career
Robert was invited to the Nigeria flying eagles U20 in 2004 and 2008 preparing for the african youth nations cup in Benin reppublic and Kigali rwanda respectively
Privates
His Elder brother Chucks Robert, is a Nigerian musician and a radio presenter popularly known as Spaceman he presently works for Cosmo FM enugu Nigeria, formerly presents a MusicAL program (Zebra crossing) on Africa independent Television AIT.
