Rob Shelton/Matt Bosnich

Rob Shelton (AKA Matt Bosnich), played by Jonny Pasvolsky, was a character in Australia's hit drama McLeod's Daughters. Rob Shelton first appeared on our screens in 2005, episode one hundred and twenty-two, "Down to earth". Jodi Fountain McLeod (Rachael Carpani) took an instant dislike to Killarney's new overseer, however he seemed to shine to her slightly. However Rob was always acting like he was hiding something. Later on, Jodi suspects that Rob bats for the other side (gay). She later learns through an embarrassing experience that he's not. Early 2006, Jodi learns Rob's secret. He is on witness protection. He had a wife (Anna) and a son (Max) who were killed by a workmate who was dealing drugs - and Rob found out. However at the time Rob's name was Matt. Rob was the name the police gave him. Jodi then feels terribly sorry for Matt and takes him on a fishing trip. Then, weeks later ,the killer tracked down Matt and was pretending to be a journo wanting to interview Nick Ryan (Myles Pollard). Jodi discovers who he really is and rides cross country on horseback to tell him. Matt and Jodi run around the bushes of Guungellan and Matt later gets shot, but doesn't tell Jodi. She discovers when she pulls him by the arm and sees the blood. They make it back to Drovers Run where she hides him in the shearers shed. The "journo" finds Jodi and demands to know where he is. She lies, and when he discovers she's not where she said he was he becomes extremely furious. He looks at Jod's jeans and sees some wool and sais "it looks like we're off to the shearing shed". He sees a shoe under some sacks and shoots it. Jodi and Kate Manfredi ([[Michala Banas) scream in horror, only to realise that it ws only Matt's shoe and Matt has hiden somewhere else. After a couple of minutes if wrestling, Jodi, Kate and Stevie Hall (Simmone Jade Mackinnon) hold him down and Matt makes his entrance. He wants to shoot the killer. Jodi doesn't let him but he retrieves a spanner and attempts to knock him out. Before he does, Jodi gives him a lecture AbOUT how Anna and Max would not want him to do this. He drops The Spanner, not because he understood what Jodi was saying but because he was about to fall unconscious. The ambulance arrives and Jodi promises him she will visit him in hospital. Matt tells her not to bother because they're not going to take him to Fisher Base Hospital, they'll take him to a secret destination and he'll get his name changed again. Jodi is devastated but shares a passionate kiss with him. We never seem him again......until the season final for series 6 ("Twenty questions"), in which he makes a short yet unnoticed appearance. He then alerts everyone it's him first episode of series 7, and Jodi is shocked. They end up getting back together again. However Matt is tracked back down and forced back into witness protection. Jodi decided to go back with him. They leave together until they're car goes up in flames and Jodi and Matt are dead. The next week, they find out it was all a setup, they wanted the killer to think they were dead so they've leave them alone, however, they keep them on witness protection. Jodi and Matt are gone. Jodi is presumed to return next year, but does that mean Matt is coming with her?
