Roaring Lion is a brand of energy drink distributed by RLED, LLC.
==History ==
Roaring Lion was created in 2001 in Los Angeles, California, and introduced as an industry-friendly alternative to Red Bull energy drink in bars, nightclubs, and other venues that use a soda gun to serve drinks from a bag-in-box (BIB). Based around the concept of reducing cost and waste (in comparison to purchasing the volume equivalent in the industry standard 8.3 oz cans), Roaring Lion was able to save many venues significant coinage.
Founded by Red Bull expatriates, Roaring Lion quickly aligned itself with multiple liquor companies and key bars and nightclubs across the country, which facilitated their rapid growth in becoming the #2 on-premise energy drink (gross volume poured) throughout the United States.
Roaring Lion, offered in Original and Sugar Free, is packaged in a 3 gallon bag-in-box, a 1 gallon bag-in-box, a 16.9 oz resealable plastic bottle, and a 12 oz slimline can. The bag-in-box (BIB) beverage container system, based on a syrup concentrate, allows Roaring Lion to be dispensed
directly from a bar gun, a beverage dispensing system.
Roaring Lion is currently available throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, the UAE, and several other countries around the world.
