The '''Rómulo Betancourt Foundation''' (Spanish: ''Fundación Rómulo Betancourt''), is a [[not-for-profit]] [[Foundation (charity)|foundation]] created on December 8, 1981 in [[Caracas]], with the objective of promoting research in the fields of [[History of Venezuela|Venezuelan Contemporary History]] and the Venezuelan and Latin American political thought, especially in connection with the political ideas of [[Rómulo Betancourt]]. Have like seat the ''Quinta Pacairigua'', last home of Rómulo Betancourt, located in the [[Altamira (Caracas)|Altamira neighborhood]] of Caracas, donated by his widow Renée Hartmann and his daughter [[Virginia Betancourt]]. It also counts with contributions from the members and other institutions, the sale of material published by the Rómulo Betancourt Foundation and the rent of the house.

The RBPA is organized in 98 volumes, comprising from [[1917]] to [[1981]], and has the following consultation means:

*Thematic index of Rómulo Betancourt Personal Archive from [[1917]] to [[1957]] (Volume 1 to Volume 34).
*Archival Registry of 3.899 documents from [[1959]] to [[1964]].
*Portfolios and index of correspondence sent and received by Rómulo Betancourt from [[1928]] to [[1941]].
*Correspondence sent and received by Rómulo Betancourt from [[1928]] to [[1941]], organized by [[Bolivia]], [[Brazil]], [[Chile]], [[Colombia]], [[Ecuador]], [[Mexico]], [[Peru]], [[Puerto Rico]] and [[Uruguay]].
*Collection of audiovisual materials on Rómulo Betancourts’ public life: 47 photography albums, mainly from [[1945]] to [[1981]], 102 recorded tapes of speeches from [[1958]] to [[1978]] and 21 videos from [[1976]] to [[1978]].
*Press clippings related to Rómulo Betancourt: 44 albums ([[1942]]-[[1981]]).
