Rinku-Machidokoro

Outline

In Rinku Town that is the next stop from Kansai International Airport, Izumisano city established Rinku-Machidokoro as a spot to offer information for sightseeing, to exchange with the foreign tourists and to promote and sell the special and local products. It is located in front of the exit of Rinkū Town Station that is the cross point of the transportations.

Izumisano city is trying to offer better hospitality because it includes Kansai International Airport in the city area and have the large number of foreign hotel stayers who visit Japan. Rinku-Machidokoro is authorized as a category 1 information center for foreign people by Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) as well as the “Airport Service Center(Kansai Airport Station)” in Kansai International Airport.

Not only the information of Izumisano area but the information of other areas of Japan, especially Kansai area are collected and informed. That is one of its specialties. Furthermore, it accepts the paid short term baggage storage for the tourists and provides opportunities to try on Japanese Kimono to the visitors.

  • Kanku-Machidokoro that has the same purpose as Rinku-Machidokoro opened on the 10th,October,2013 beside the international arrival gate in the 2nd terminal building of Kansai International Airport.

  • October 16,2014: Paid short term baggage storage service started
