Born in Michigan he’s lived there most of his life. It’s hard to separate anything Richard does from film. It’s been part of his life since he was twelve, that’s when his father gave him his first 8mm camera for Christmas. He mowed lawns and shoveled driveways to by film, and editing equipment. He honed his talents on 8mm, and in 1989 at eighteen he won the prestige’s Mosaic award at the Ann Arbor film festival. With his short film “THE BOX”. Then went on to college moving around from Ferris State to Wayne State University where he earned a B.S. in Television Productions. Right out of college he sold a screenplay to TOUCHSTONE “Mars Invader” to only have it shelved and never made. He worked on many REVEALS for the automotive industry in corporation with big Advertising Companies like CAMBELL EWALD, DMBB&IMP, and ROSS ROY. In 1994 Richard started Alpha Wolf Productions to make “NIGHT DANCE” his first feature length film. Richard wrote, directed, produced, and served as his own cinematographer on the film. “Night Dance” went on to win the El Paso Film festival “BEST OF FEST AWARD” shortly after that “Night Dance” was invited to the Directors FORT-NIGHT at the Caanes film festival by Robert Altman. He was celebrated as one of the new up and coming film makers to watch out for.

In 1996 he made “Lost in Bohemia” which won the best Narrative at the Sacramento Film Festival.

Richard has been writing Screenplays, and looking for the perfect screenplay to make into another award winning film. He’s had Screenplays in option agreements in the past five years. “Reflections” to Miramax, and “Claira Hates Chocolate” to Mandalay, and that’s only a couple of the eighteen that he’s written. His passion for the film industry is still what defines him, but his talent is what makes him successful.
