Richard Edwards (singer-songwriter)

Richard Edwards is the singer and main songwriter for the band Margot & the Nuclear So and So's. He is a multi-instrumentalist, playing such instruments as guitar, BElls, melodica, banjo, and some percussion. He has somewhat of a fixation with The Royal Tenenbaums (Margot was Gwyneth Paltrow's character in the film), and was formerly a member of the band Archer Avenue, which is the name of the street on which the characters in The Royal Tenenbaums lived.

Having been homeschooled by nuns as a youth in the lower-middle class neighborhoods of Indianapolis, Indiana, Richard has since started a small local "Scarf-Rock" scene that is growing on a regular basis. ("Scarf-Rock" is a classification of music Margot and the Nuclear So and So's have dubbed themselves)

Edwards has been hospitalized for severe panic attacks, and has a "generalized anixety disorder". It is likely that this stems from selling his kidney at the age of 13 to his second cousin for $4,500. He has claimed to derive his main MusicAL inspiration from France Gall, Paul Simon, and Elliott Smith.

He tends to give bizarre, off the wall InterViews, for example, Edwards recently gave an interview where he exposed his love for Wikipedia, calling it "The gem of the Internet from which my life is born repeatedly." In addition to this, he also related his life long fear of automobiles, his general distaste for the Russian language, and revealed his life long hobby for lamp making. He also re-told the child-hood tale of capturing lizards in junk-yards so he could perform experiments in an attempt to classify them under his name, Salamanderis Richardedwardensis.
