Richard Dantona
Richard Michael Dantona (born January 20, 1977) is an American entrepreneur and construction industry professional. He is best known as the founder of Academy Home Kitchen & Bath, Inc., Academy Home Developments, Inc., and the Florida Warriors Youth Hockey Association.
Biography
Richard Michael Dantona was born in Bay Shore, New York, and raised in the East Islip area. He attended East Islip High School, where he began working in construction at the age of 15, gaining early hands-on experience in the building trades.
In 1997, Dantona founded Academy Mobile Enterprise, Inc., a construction company based in New York. In 2003, he relocated the business to Fort Myers, Florida, expanding operations in the region.
In 2012, Dantona opened Academy Home Kitchen & Bath, Inc., a kitchen and bath showroom in Cape Coral, Florida. The business expanded in 2013 with the addition of a granite fabrication center in North Fort Myers. In 2016, he founded Academy Home Developments, Inc., focusing on residential real estate development.
Beyond business, Dantona has been active in youth sports development. In 2019, he founded the Florida Warriors Youth Hockey Association, a youth hockey organization based at the Fort Myers Skatium. The organization fields multiple age-level teams and participates in league play and tournaments throughout Florida and other states.
In 2022, Dantona founded the RzR Edge Hockey Academy. The academy provides hockey skills training and off-ice agility programs in partnership with a local fitness facility. Its coaching staff includes individuals with experience in semi-professional leagues and the National Hockey League.
