Richard Christiansen (creative director)

Richard Christiansen is the founder and creative director of Chandelier Creative, a full service creative agency based in New York. Chandelier has opened offices in Asia and the UK, and is dedicated to the pursuit of unexpected delight in adverting. He is also the co-creative director of Commonwealth Utilities menswear, a brand he founded with designer Anthony Keegan.

Previously Richard was creative director of Benetton’s Colors, Suede Magazine, Milk Magazine and Radar. He has designed 12 books and art directed 4 short films.

He has won numerous awards for his creative work, including the Art Director's Club Young Guns Award 1, and the National Retail Federation (RACie) Judge's Gold Award.2.

In 2010 Richard Christiansen and his business partner, Anthony Keegan, won the Fashion Group International's Rising Star award.3

The New York Daily News named Richard the 10th most fascinating person in Fashion in February 2010 4

Richard is 33 years old, and lives in New York City. He was raised on a farm in Duranbah, Australia.
