Reverend Simon Itelima Afiesimama
Reverend Simon Itelima Afiesimama (born May 1896, Ogoloma, Okrika, in present-day Rivers State, Nigeria) was the Nigerian first son of Chief Abednego Tamunofiesimama Fubara, who was a wealthy palm oil trader.
Reverend Afiesimama was ordained as the first minister of the Wakirike (Okrika people) and travelled extensively in southern Nigeria spreading the gospel. He also ministered at Saint Cyprian's Anglican Church, Hospital Road, Port Harcourt.
Some of his descendants are Dabipi Valentine Afiesimama, a retired Quantity Surveyor and father of Comrade Sokari Afiesimama, a political activist. Dr Samuel Benedict Sodienye Afiesimama, Ogoloma's first medical doctor
