Revealing the Non-Secrets

Revealing the Non-Secrets: The History of the Founding and Founders of Delta Upsilon Fraternity, released on January 15th, 2009, discusses the early days of Delta Upsilon Fraternity.

After a fire in 1841 at Williams, much of the documents on the founding of Delta Upsilon and the early years of The Fraternity, as well as documents on the original founders, were lost. However, after eight years of research, Fraternity Historian Craig S. Sowell was able to unearth much of the information that was thought to be lost. Along with the story of the founding of Delta Upsilon, the book also traces the lives of the original 30 founders, including their careers, families, and often their place of burial as well. It also includes trivia on the founders lives, the layout of the dorm buildings at Williams College and the original constitution of Delta Upsilon.
