Replay photos

Replay Photos is a private company founded by Sue Harnett and headquartered in Durham, North Carolina. The company works with colleges and universities across the United States to go through their photo archives, digitally restore the best photos, and provide sales services.

History

Replay Photos was founded by Sue Harnett at Duke University. She earned an undergraduate degree from Duke in 1990 and a Master of Health Administration from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in 1991. She is also a four-year letter winner and All-America selection as well as a charter inductee into the Duke Basketball Hall of Honor. Starting at Duke, Harnett realized the need and opportunity for digital restoration of campus photos. The company has since grown from 6 schools in 2004 to 74 Division I universities in 2009.

Products

Replay has traditionally offered images as unframed photographic prints, custom framed prints, and gallery wrapped canvases. In February 2009, Replay also added a new product called Replay Peels, which is a removable vinyl wall graphic. The Peels are 60” by 24” and include 6 die-cut vinyl clings, the largest and most prominent being the particular university’s mascot.

On March 16, 2009, Replay Photos announced a partnership with with the NCAA and the Associated Press to create the NCAA Photo Store. The site updates photos from NCAA events as they are taken and makes them immediately available for sale. The site offers pictures of all 88 NCAA Championships across all three divisions.

Replay Photos is an exclusive provider of photos of Duke Blue Devils men's basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Philanthropy

In April, 2007, Replay Photos partnered with the Virginia Tech Athletic Department to donate profits from the sale of Virginia Tech athletic photos to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund following the Virginia Tech massacre.

The company also donates a percentage of all sales of photos of Mike Krzyzewski to the Emily Krzyzewski Center, a community center in Durham, North Carolina named in honor of the coach's late mother.
