Rene Schlegel has been working for the Bosch Group since 1986. After serving in different positions within the company, he took charge of the Bosch subsidiaries in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Schlegel, born in 1963 in Lucerne, Switzerland has a degree in business administration from the GSB/Oekreal School, Zurich, Switzerland, an MBA from the University of Chicago und an Advanced Management Program diploma from the University of Oxford. After serving as an officer in the Swiss Army, Schlegel worked as an export manager for English-speaking markets in the metallurgical Industry in Switzerland, and then joined the Bosch Group.
