Renato Mallota
Renato Mallota (born August 8, 1980) is an Albanian football defender who currently plays for Partizani Tiranë in Albania. He has previously played for KS Besëlidhja Lezhë.
He is considered one of the most talented central defenders in Albanian Superliga as he established himself as a regular starter in Partizani Tiranë at the age of 19.
Career
After playing with the youth squad of KS Besëlidhja Lezhë for several years, in 2007-2008 season Mallota made his debut in Albanian Superliga with the senior squad at the age of 17. After KS Besëlidhja Lezhë was relegated to Albanian First Division he choose to continue his career with one of the biggest clubs of Albania, KF Partizani Tirana.
International
Mallota was part of Albania U-19 that managed to qualify for the "Elite Round" of UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship on October 2007 being in the same group with Spain, Serbia and Liechtenstein.
On May 2008 Albania U-19 played against Germany, Croatia and Slovakia in Group 4 of the "Elite Round", finishing last with only one point won.
On November 18, 2008 he made his debut for Albania U-21 in a friendly match against FYR Macedonia in Ohër. The match ended 3-0 for Albania.
