Remiah

Remiah are a popular three piece band from Harpenden in the United Kingdom. The band was formed in October 2003, and produces powerpop music perhaps most closely resembling the sounds of R.E.M..http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=4601498

The band members are Paul O'Gorman, the band's main songwriter, lead singer and guitarist, Steven Condell, who plays the bass guitar, and David Drake who plays percussion. Christopher Sullivan occasionally guests as the bassist, although he is not a recognized member of the band.

Remiah are best known for personal, local gigs at pubs and music venues in and around Harpenden. "The Inn On The Green" in Harpenden and "The Horn" in St. Albans being the most frequented.

Remiah are known to attract large audiences of keen fans, and the band never fail to produce a charged atmosphere of exictement with lively and powerful live numbers, the most popular being "The Way", "Believe" "I See" and "Avesbury". The band claims to be influenced by such bands as Rage Against the Machine, Muse, Incubus, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Faith No More.

The band have recorded several songs to studio quality, with rumours that these are soon to be released.
