Relief India Trust

Relief India Trust is an organization working to reduce the incidence of disability and facilitate medical care for abandoned and lesser-privileged children.Community participation, education, protection and promotion of environment, and building of human capital are central to the activities of the organisation. The trust is based in Noida, India, and is registered under The INDIAN Trusts Act 1882. It is a self-equipped rehabilitation center which attempts to minimize the suffering of the disabled by providing them free medical and rehabilitative care so that they can lead better lives. The trust conducts various community-based activities such as health camp, disability check–up camps, blood donation camps, organ donation camps, and food and clothes distribution camps at its center and other places.

Characteristics

  • The organization works from grass-root level and then gradually going up to address other groups who will be the beneficiary in the project.
  • Free pick –up and drop facility is provided to patients and disabled children to Delhi and National Capital Region (India).

Mission

Relief India Trust works with the mission to facilitate better quality of life through community participation, education, protection and promotion of environment.

Relief Measures

Relief India Trust conducts various Relief programs for betterment of the dis-empowered. The Relief measures include distribution of free medicines, clothes, food as well as provision of education to the children. Relief India Trust(RIT) contributes towards promotion and conservation of natural resources as nearly 25 percent of all deaths and the total diseases globally are a result of environmental factors.

Free Medicines Distribution

Distribution of free medication is done from time to time as a part of providing medical services to the poor. The needy in rural India are also provided with medical and surgical treatment by the RIT’s team of medical volunteers.

Clothes Distribution

Relief India Trust distributes clothes free of cost. They provide blankets also to the labours and other poor people in extreme winters.

Rehabilitation center Arrangement

Rehabilitation centers are built by the Relief India Trust that ensure free medical checkups, awareness camps, disability camps, and various recreational activities for the poor children. Relief India Trust is managing a rehabilitation center for physically and mentally challenged children in New Delhi and across the country.

Medical counseling

Relief India Trust (RIT) provides genetic counselling to couples which includes suggesting them with possible solutions for various alternatives. Their medics carry out prenatal screening for pregnant women to control the disease in its early stages. Apart from this, RIT has also undertaken Thalassemia project.

Awareness Programmes

Relief India Trust volunteers awareness programs on diseases like AIDS and cancer by setting camps all over the country. It designs, evaluates, manages as well as they review comprehensive prevention of HIV, support programs and care. Professional doctors are a part of these awareness programs that influence the people living in slums to take steps in the cleanliness and treatment of their problems.
