Reconnaissance Battalion (Ready Reserve)
The Reconnaissance Battalion (Ready Reserve), Philippine Army, is lead unit Army Reserve Command's 15th Infantry Division (Ready Reserve) specializing in Combat Reconnaissance, Long Range Reconnaissance Patrols (LRRP), and Surveillance/ Counter-surveillance Operations.
The unit specializes in combat tracking and reconnaissance perfected by the members of the Scout Ranger Regiment.
Mission
- Provide security to the 15th Infantry Division and its units.
- Perform surveillance operations in support of ongoing tasks of its parent unit.
- To incorporate techniques that will engage, put on the defensive, weakened or delay ongoing enemy operations.
