History
Real Living, Inc. was established in 2002. It is owned and operated by CEO and Managing Partner Harley E. Rouda, Jr. and President Kaira Sturdivant Rouda. Real Living has nearly 4,000 agents and employees, $7.2 billion in annual sales (2006) and more than 160 offices throughout 20 states. Real Living is based in Columbus, Ohio.
Real Living company owned offices include Real Living HER in Columbus, Ohio, Real Living Realty Services in Dayton and Cincinnati and Real Living Realty One in Northern Ohio.

Real Living now has real estate franchise offices in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Company-owned offices include Real Living HER, in Columbus, Real Living Realty One, in Cleveland, and Real Living Realty Services, in Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Achievement
In 2005, Inman News recognized Real Living as the “Most Innovative Brokerage” with the Inman Innovator Award.
Other 2005 awards include the Communicator Awards' Award of Excellence for Real Living Magazine and the Award of Distribution for Real Living's Annual Conference, Momentum; two Telly Awards for Real Living's Winter and Spring spots; Web Marketing Association WebAwards' Standard of Excellence for RealLiving.com; and an Inman Innovator Award for Most Innovative Real Estate Brokerage.
Entrepreneur Magazine ranked Real Living No. 23 in the Top 50 Best New Franchises for 2006 and also ranked Real Living No. 360 in its 27th
Annual Franchise 500 that same year.
Other 2006 awards include an Official Honoree for RealLiving.com at the 10th Annual Webby Awards; Standard of Excellence for RealLiving.com at the Web Marketing Association's WebAwards; an Inman Innovator Award as Finalist for the Most Innovative Web Service; ranked fourth-largest real estate brokerage in the US by ''REALTOR' magazine', REAL Trends and RISMedia's Annual Power Broker Survey; and also a Luxury Real Estate Most Innovative Marketing Technique Award for Real Living's consumer-facing Web account, MyRealLiving 2.0.
In 2007, Real Living was named No. 45 on Entrepreneur Magazine's Top 50 Fastest-Growing Women-Led Companies list, recognizing President Kaira Sturdivant Rouda.
