RC4WD
RC4WD is a manufacturer and seller of radio-controlled model (R/C) parts, vehicles and equipment, it was founded in 2001 in San Francisco Bay Area. Their products have been chosen by NASA and have appeared in TV and magazines in many countries. The company made parts for the fastest battery-powered radio controlled car.
RC4WD History
RC4WD was founded in 2001 in San Francisco Bay Area, California USA in a garage. Initially RC4WD started as a one stop shop (website) for RC monster truck aftermarket and performance parts. The business grew through the help of RCMT.net, a forum community dedicated to the RC monster truck enthusiasts. In 2005, the business was stocking nearly 800 parts from companies like Thundertech Racing, JPS, New Era Models, Imex, Defiance Racing, RC Alloy, Vertigo performance and others. By 2007, RC4WD finally moved into a small warehouse in San Jose. In July 2010, came the first licensed product, The [...] Cepek "Mud Country" 1.9 tire. Next year, in February 2011, Horizon Hobby started distributing RC4WD products and in March 2014, Towerhobbies started selling RC4WD products.
