RBH Sound

RBH Sound is a Layton, Utah based company which manufactures and markets home audio and light commercial conventional/freestanding, in-wall, and in-ceiling loudspeakers and subwoofers, as well as personal audio products. Other RBH brand audio products include headphones, earphones, Bluetooth audio amplifiers, and other products.

The company was founded in 1976 by its CEO and President, Roger B. Hassing. RBH Sound is a dba of The West American Corporation, a Utah corporation.

Brands

RBH Sound brands include RBH, Status Acoustics, Destination Audio and EMP Tek:

  • RBH The Primary brand name for RBH Sound audio products.
  • Status Acoustics The Status Acoustics brand name was created in 1998 by Mr. Hassing as the high-end audio products division of RBH Sound. The brand was introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 1998 in an Alexis Park Resort suite.
  • Destination Audio The brand name Destination Audio was created by RBH Sound in 2006 to manufacture custom-installed residential audio and home theater products with complementary electronics. Destination Audio brand products were offered exclusively through custom-installation distributors throughout the United States, Canada, England, and Russia. RBH Sound discontinued Destination Audio product manufacturing in 2012.
  • EMP Tek The EMP Tek brand name (EMP is an acronym for Engineered Music Products) was initially created in 2007 as an on-line marketing division for selling discontinued RBH Sound products. In 2008, the brand focus changed slightly with the introduction of EMP BRANDed Impression Series speakers. RBH Sound discontinued EMP Tek branded product manufacturing in 2012.
