Rayner (born 26 September 1988 in Minas Gerais, Brazil), is a Brazilian soccer player currently playing for Kiruna FF in the Division 2.

Club History

Rayner is a product of Fluminense's junior team in Rio de Janeiro. He played professionally for two Brazilian clubs, Desportivo FC and Serrano Prudentópolis, before heading to be become the only non-European playing for Sweden's Kiruna FF, Sweden's northernmost club.

Seattle Sounders FC

Rayner is currently on trial with Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders FC. He played the left midfield position during the stormy second half of Seattle Sounders FC's game against Norway's champion Rosenborg BK on February 17, 2010..

Background

Rayner is a versatile attacking player, able to serve in wide or central midfield or forward positions. He is known for his dribbling skills and creativity under pressure. He is ambidextrous and speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English. A video highlighting his skills can be found here.
