==Early life==
Raymond was born in South Metro Atlanta to Yancey and Tracy Wood. He graduated from [[Lake Dow Christian Academy]] and has been known to speak out negatively AbOUT his privatized [[Christian school|Christian education]].

==Film Work==
Even before graduating high school, Raymond had written and directed two award-winning short films while competing with his team in the [[48 Hour Film Project]] with the film ''Mike and Danny''<ref>[http://www.48hourfilm.com/atlanta/2007.php 2007 48 Hour Film Project Atlanta]</ref> and the [[Rapid I Movement]], a similar competition sponsored by the [[Atlanta Film Festival]], with the film ''31 Degrees''. In addition to filmmaking, Raymond is also a [[Singer-songwriter|singer/songwriter]] under the name "City Sunrise." He frequently collaborates with long-time friend and recording artist Hunter Williams.

Most notably, Raymond hosts a weekly movie review podcast called The Reel Deal Podcast, for which he has garnered much acclaim.

Raymond and his production company are currently in the process of raising funding for their next feature film, ''The Brook'', co-written by Raymond and fellow writer Chris Piner. He has also stated on his podcast and blog that he is in the process of writing about a dozen screenplays right now.
