Raymond Pierce

Raymond Pierce is an Ohio politician. A lawyer, Pierce grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, attending Hawken School. He ran for mayor of Cleveland in 2001, losing by a 54%-46% margin to Jane L. Campbell. Pierce announced in late 2004 that he would run against Campbell again, but withdrew well ahead of the November 2005 election in favor of Frank G. Jackson, the eventual winner. In 2005, Pierce became Dean of the School of Law at North Carolina Central University.
