A-levels

After students take the Nepali government’s School Leaving Certificate examination at the end of grade ten, those who are selected, including students who studied elsewhere, go on to take the two-year advanced (A)-level course conducted by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). Rato Bangala School is a registered CIE Centre. CIE offers examinations in May/June and October/November after the first and second years. The A-Level programme lasts two years. Classes for A-Level students begin in late June. Two years later, in June, they will have completed the last of a grueling two months of examination papers.

Eligibility

Students who have taken the SLC/GCSE or equivalent at the time of admissions can apply. The main requirement is demonstrated academic ability to meet the rigours of this challenging programme. To ensure that each class is highly motivated, Rato Bangala employs a comprehensive evaluation system comprising both a written examination as well as group interview.

Scholarships

Rato Bangala offers partial financial aid to a limited number of exceptional candidates who demonstrate need.
