Rajendra Panchal
Rajendra Panchal is an Indian theatre director and actor from Kota, Rajasthan. He received Yuva Puraskar award from Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademy in 2013 and META Best Actor Award-2017.
Early life and education
A National School of Drama alumnus Panchal completed his graduation in music and post graduate diploma in Dramatics from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
Career
Panchal is most known for his experimental plays such as When I Was a Child, My Father My Mom, Anjali Sharma Urf Anji, Shakuntala, Chidi Chameli, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Phool Kesula Phool, Katha Sukavi Suryamall Ki amongst others.
As a theatre artist he has visited Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bosnia and China and has also worked extensively with tribal people, prisoners, orphans, senior citizens, deaf and MUTE persons, beggars, railway platform children and juvenile prisoners during theatre workshops. He's presently working as a freelancer with his own group Perafin in village Roteda near Kota city. On the banner of Perafin he has organized theatre festivals, exhibitions, art projects and theatre education tours.
