Rain, paint mare

Rain is a painted mare in the animated film "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron". She is the campanion of brave Little Creek and the love interest of Spirit.

Rain's history is un-certain. Most people think she was either born to lakota horses, or she was found by Little Creek at a young age. Which ever it is, she was without one doudt Little Creek's most loyalist friend.

Rain's relationship with Spirit, however, is the strongest. At first, she seemed light headed, bossy, controlling, and selfish. Though Spirit liked her in the begining, she still stayed hard to get. In time, Rain began to show her beautiful, kind, loving side. She also saw his caring, gentle, giving side. The Two fell in love. After that, there was nothing but love, kindness and understanding to each other. Spirit did, however, almost lost her when she was shot during a lakota attack. Little Creek nursed her back to health, and set her free.

Life with spirit is also un-certain. All we know is that they lived a happy, and wonderful life together, and most likely had younglings of their own.
