R. A. Albert (director)

R. A. Albert is an Indian film director and screenwriter from Kerala. He is predominantly working in the Malayalam film industry. His debut film Kane Madanguka was well anticipated throughout the world, resulting in several director awards for Albert.

Personal Life and Education

Albert was born in Parassala a village at the borders of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Albert's father was an Indian Army Officer. Hence he spent his early life in various parts of the country, such as Hyderabad and Agra. After his graduation in commerce he joined The INDIAN army in the second lieutenant rank. Despite his family's rave objections he has to quit the army in 1989 and went to Chennai, where he began to get educated in film direction in the Adyar Film Institute.
