Qosmos
Qosmos is a Software company based in Paris that specializes in Network intelligence technology. It is a privately-held company.
Corporate History
Qosmos was created in 2000 by members of the LIP6 Computer Research Laboratory in Paris. Its first product, a Deep Packet Inspection tool called Q-Work, was released in 2002.
In 2005, current CEO Thibault Bechetoille led a repositioning strategy that expanded the company’s product line functionality to delivering broader Network intelligence technology, expanding the company’s addressable market to Systems Integrators, Independent Software Vendors and other third-party developers in the enterprise, telco and government sectors.
Products
Qosmos network intelligence tools consist of a Software Development Kit, Qosmos ixEngine, and a range of appliances or probes, Qosmos ixMachine:
- Qosmos ixEngine is a software development kit that enables Network Equipment Providers and Software Vendors to implement network intelligence features in their products.
- Qosmos ixMachine appliances are used by System Integrators and Solution Vendors to feed third party systems with granular network information.
The latest version of Qosmos ixEngine was released in June, 2009.
