Qamar Un Nisa Akbar

Qamar Un Nisa Akbar (born 22 October 2009) is a Pakistani child prodigy known for setting multiple international academic records at a young age. She is the twin sister of Qamar Muneer Akbar and the younger sister of Sitara Brooj Akbar.

Early life

Qamar Un Nisa was born in Rabwah, Punjab into an Ahmadiyya Muslim family. She is one of five siblings, all of whom were homeschooled by their mother, a professional educator. Alongside her twin brother, she demonstrated advanced cognitive abilities from a very early age, pursuing a rigorous self-taught curriculum that allowed her to bypass traditional primary schooling. She moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with her family, where she continued her specialized education.

Academic achievements

Akbar gained international media attention in September 2020 when, at the age of 11, she appeared for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Along with her twin brother, she scored an overall band of 7.5, with a perfect Band 9 in the Speaking module and Band 8 in Listening. This achievement made the twins the youngest high-scorers in the history of the examination at that time.

Following her success in IELTS, she finished her IGCSE in the same year, at the age of 11. Like her siblings, she has been a vocal advocate for youth education and has participated in various community service initiatives in the UAE.
