Q-tickets is an online movie and events ticket booking portal in Qatar. It is a third party ticketing facility, which has been launched in partnership with Doha Bank. The company’s online platform caters to ticket sales for movies as well as plays, concerts and sporting events. It was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Doha, Qatar.

Company history

Q-tickets is the first third party movie and event ticketing portal in the GCC region. The company has been founded by Dr Tejinder Singh. The Doha Bank is the payment partner for Q Tickets that powers the e-commerce payment gateway. Q Tickets has also partnered with cinema houses and venues. The company is also looking to expand its services across the GCC. The website currently has over 40,000 registered users.

Services

The online platform of Q-tickets provides ticketing services for movies, plays, concerts, sporting events and food events (similar to websites like Bookmyshow and Movietickets). The information given has details about the event or movie, show timings, venue details and any artist bios when applicable. After logging in, customers can choose their preferred movie, screen and show time, as well as their desired seats off a visual layout. Ticket purchases can be completed via credit cards or through a Doha Bank Internet banking account. After booking a ticket, the customer receives a reservation code via SMS or e-mail. Customers can also book tickets using their mobile phones.
