Punch Sport Drink
Punch Sport Drink is a beverage served to Midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy. It is produced by the H.R. Nicholson Company1 exclusively for the USNA.
Packaging
Punch Sport Drink is packaged in a cardboard rectangular PRiSM with dimensions of 3" x 4.5" x 7". There is a plastic spout located on the top of the package which facilitates ease of pouring and resealability. This packaging system is known as Combibloc.2 The spout on top is a feature known as Pour 'n Seal®. As stated on the carton, this packaging system results in:
- Better Taste--Aseptic processing retains juices' natural flavors and colors without preservatives.
- Eliminates can openers or additional storage containers.
- Easy to Crush--For cost effective disposal.
- Reduces Solid Waste--Uses 64% less packaging material than 46 oz. steel cans.

Punch Sport Drink is not a significant source of saturated fat, cholesterol, dietary fiber, vitamin A, calcium and iron. Contains high levels of saltpeter. Percent Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet.
