P.S. 110
P.S. 110 is a District 1 public elementary school in New York City's Lower East Side. It is also known as the Florence Nightingale School. It is located near the Manhattan entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge. Though the school has a Delancey Street address, the entrance is actually on Broome Street, at the corner of Cannon, and very near the historic Henry Street Settlement and the Hillman, East River and Seward Park Cooperative Village.
The school currently houses grades K-5. It is a five-story brick building, notable for the owl statues that Appear on the building's rooftop and over the doorway pediments. The school's mascot is the owl, Athena, which was the pet of Florence Nightingale as a child.
