Project X (Comedy Shorts)

Project X is a Series of Comedy shorts which first appeared online in 2007. Written by and Starring Dale Thompson and Trevor White. The Shorts unfold in a very quick non-linear fasion, often randomly cuting to a new scene right in the middle of one which is currently playing, out only to later return to the original scene later in the film.

Special Effects

Project X 1 and 2 were both shot primarily infront of a green screen and the backgrounds were digitally added afterwards. In Episode 2 during the intro, Dale is AbOUT 6 inches tall and standing in trevor's hand, this was achieved using a green screen and compositing.

Episodes

To Date only 2 episodes have been produced, Project X episode 1 and the far superior follow up Project X Episode 2: Let's Get eXy. Project X Episode 3: Bringing eXy Back is currently in production, however, following the incarceration of co-star/co-writer Trevor White for fishing without a licence and armed robbery during episode 2, the work on 3 has slowed almost to a standstill. There are currently plans in the works to film a 4th and possibly 5th episode once trevor is released in 2012.

Reel North Film Festival

On November 3rd 2007, Project X will make it's film festival debut. The Version screening during the film festival is a 12 minute combined version of project X episode 1 and episode 2 with some new special effects in episode 1 and a new ending credit sequence.
