Project Smile

Project SMILE is a Long term Social Service Project based in Negombo, Sri Lanka, under the theme "All we wanna do is bring a SMILE to your face". The project is mainly on focus in helping and supporting under privileged school children in rural districts. Still the project doesn't stick to that, helping anyone they possibly can.

The main objective of this project is to help people. This project operates and functions with other Donors, Organizations, Institutions, Associations and Clubs "to do more for the people and society touching more and more lives", as they claim it.

This project is open for anyone to participate or to get aid/help from.

History

Project SMILE was put together by the Past Prefects' Association (PPA) of Maris Stella College (MSC), Negombo, Sri Lanka, as a long term Social Service Project. It was founded by Shammika Fernando (Director General of Project SMILE), past Vice President of PPA-MSC and now it's under a separate management structure. Yet it organizes its projects in collaboration with the PPA-MSC and most of the ACTIVE members are Past Prefects of MSC, Negombo.

The Project SMILE was officially launched on the 11th of December, 2004 at the 3rd Annual General Meeting & 4th Annual Get-together of PPA-MSC.
