Prahlad Basu
Prahlad Basu, now retired, is a distinguished professor of management and holder of leadership roles in The INDIAN government. His expertise is in the management of public sector undertaking also called state owned enterprises which comprise a large share of the economy of India, China, Africa and pre Margaret Thatcher Britain.

Prahlad Basu graduated in Economics from King's College, Cambridge in the 1950s. He was a peer of economists Manmohan Singh and Amartya Sen. He is an alumnus of Presidency College in Calcutta.

He is one of the sons of Birendra Basu, a well-known member of the Indian Civil Service who graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
