Prabhloch Singh

Prabhloch Singh (born 25 January 1986) is a human rights and social activist, speaker, deejay and a corporate employee. He is also the founder of Middle Finger Protests, now known as Human Rights Protection Group & MFP Federation, a pressure group and NGO headquartered in chandigarh. Born and raised in Chandigarh, Prabhloch entered the world of activism in 2006 during the trial of the [...] of Jessica Lal.

Early life

Born in Chandigarh, Prabhloch obtained a degree in Functional English from Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College in Chandigarh. He became a deejay and an entrepreneur at the age of 15. The Tribune (Chandigarh) described him as a "music mixing master". Prabhloch started a human rights organization in 2006, at the age of 20.

Human Rights activities and Background

Prabhloch started a human rights organization in 2006 at the age of 20. The organization is behind the protests and agitations surrounding the 2012 Delhi gang [...] case, [...] of Jessica Lal case, and the ongoing Sippy Sidhu case. Prabhloch, along with his NGO, was also featured in the Bollywood movie No One Killed Jessica for his role in the protests during the [...] of Jessica Lal case. Prabhloch, along with his human rights organization, was made a part of a human rights case study on Media Influence, Rule of Law, and Civic Action in India by the Florida State University through an Honors Theses submitted to and approved by the Defense Committee of the Department Of International Affairs, USA. Prabhloch represented India as an observer at the United Nations Headquarters during the 13th Annual International Human Rights Summit 2016 held from 25 August 2016 to 27 August 2016 where he delivered a speech on civil rights in India while addressing dignitaries consisting of human rights luminaries, ambassadors and representatives of permanent missions to the United Nations. Prabhloch also addressed the Youth for Human Rights International World Tour-South Asia Summit on 22 March 2017 and 23 March 2017 as a guest speaker.

International Conclave on Human Rights, Community Welfare, Philanthropy & UN SDGs

Prabhloch along with his NGO is the organiser of the annual 2 day international conclave on human rights, community welfare, philanthropy & UN SDGs. The first conclave was held on November 4 & 5, 2017 at Chandigarh, India. The conclave was inaugurated by Chandigarh's Member of Parliament, Kirron Kher and was attended by members of the NITI Aayog, former ambassadors, United Nations dignitaries, activists and professors.

Respectful funeral services

Prabhloch has started a pan India initiative wherein he, along with his NGO, arranges respectful last rites for the downtrodden who cannot afford funeral services for their loved ones. This initiative is being run under the hashtag #LeaveNoOneBehind.
