Postal Orders of Newfoundland

Newfoundland was not an issuer of its own postal orders, although prior to becoming a Canadian province, Canadian postal notes were allowed to be paid there.

Since joining Canada in 1949, a British Forces Post Office was opened at Goose Bay. British Postal Orders were issued at B.F.P.O. 9 in Goose Bay. Currently, it is not known when the issue of British Postal Orders began, or when the British Field Post Office closed down.
