Post-2008 Pacific hurricane seasons

The Post-2008 Pacific hurricane seasons will be annual, ongoing periods of tropical cyclone formation. Hurricane seasons officially start May 15 in the eastern Pacific and June 1 in the central Pacific, and will last until November 30.

2009 storm names

The following names will be used for named storms that form in the Northeast Pacific in 2009. The names not retired from this list will be used again in the 2015 season. The list is the same as the 2003 list as no names were retired that year.
