Possible Extinction

A possibly extinct (PX) species is one which has been categorized as a species that is extinct in captivity and there might be only a few tiny populations in remote regions where none or very few humans have ever been. This is mostly based off of eyewitness accounts and some other evidence and is not entirely scientifically based.
Examples
*Thylacine
The tasmanian tiger was the largest meat eating marsupial of modern times. When european wool farmers came to Tasmania, they saw the thylacine as a danger to their sheep so they set a bounty on their heads. Soon after, almost all of the thylacines in Tasmania were killed and only some were kept in zoos. The last thylacine to live was called Benjamin and he was kept in the Hobart zoo. Benjamin died on September 7th 1936 because he was left out of his indoor enclosure to freeze to death overnight. After that, thylacines were declared extinct but some reported sightings have surfaced along with some tracks, pictures and even a few videos. So the thylacines may still be out there in the southern jungles of Tasmania where humans have never set foot.
