Polyák Péter

Peter Polyak (born 13 October 1978 in Kiskunhalas, Hungary) is an Hungarian-American artist, painter and songwriter.

Early life

Peter showed a passion and a skill for drawing from when he was in kindergarten. Later when he was 10 years old his parents found his drawings of [...] women under his bed, than his father made him copy the book: Anatomy for the Artist by Jeno Barcsay. From the age of 11 he started artistic training in figure drawing and also learning to play piano. He had his first solo exhibition in his home town Kiskőrös in 1992.

In 1993 he started Tömörkény István Art High School in Szeged, where he learned commercial design and graphic art.

From 1997 Peter continued his studies in the art class of College Tessedik Sámuel in Szarvas, where the class only existed for five years.

From 2004 summers Peter learned classic painter techniques from Matteo Massagrande, an Italian painter at the artcamp of Hajós, Hungary.

Peter spent his first time at Blair School of Art in 2010 in Blair, South Carolina, United States.

In 2012 Peter worked with Patrick Guyton artist (also bass player of the Leatherwolf) in Corona, California, where Peter needed to learn painting on gold, silver and other metal surfaces.
