Polar Bear (cocktail)
The Polar Bear is a cocktail which tastes like a peppermint patty. It is made from creme de CACAO and peppermint schnapps.
Preparation
Polar Bear is usually served in a shot glass and served cold. Ingredients are typically
- 1 oz. creme de cacao liqueur
- 1 oz. peppermint schnapps liqueur
Preparation is simple -- Add crushed ice and all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake well, serve in a shot glass, and garnish with a mint leaf.
Variations
- Polar Bear #2, made with 3 oz Vodka, 1 oz Blue Curacao and 7-up soda.
- Polar Bear #3, an alternate version made with 3 oz Vodka, 1 oz lime juice and 7-up
- Polar Bear #4, Polar Bear using creme de cacao and creme de menthe. This can either be layered or made in a cocktail shaker
- Polar Bear Cooler, using 2 oz Dark rum, 1 oz red vermouth, 1 oz lime juice, 1/2 orange juice, and 3 1/2 oz 7-up. Pour into a collins glass filled with broken ice and add a spiral of lemon. Garnish with an orange wedge and cherry. Serve with straws.
