Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Time Exploration Rescue Team
Japan's CoroCoro magazine May issue released details of the continuation of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Time Exploration Rescue (Name will probably change when released in North America) is one of the pair of games set to release in Japan in Fall 2007. The other game is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Darkness Exploration Rescue Team.
It's a sequel to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team (ポケモン不思議のダンジョン 赤の救助隊, Pokemon Fushigi no Danjon Aka no Kyūjotai) and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team (ポケモン不思議のダンジョン 青の救助隊, Pokemon Fushigi no Danjon Ao no Kyūjotai) but this time, it won't include a Gameboy Advance version.
Gameplay and Mechanics
This game will include over 100 more pokemon (490 pokemon in all) from the new Diamond and Pearl series. As from the previous games, this game will also have 16 starter pokemon, one acting as leader, the other acting as the partner. Leaders will be Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Pikachu, Munchlax, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Skitty and Meowth. Along with rescuing pokemon like the previous games, you will also hunt for treasure and criminals.
As usual you will choose the pokemon you want to be as leader. Your Partner is going to be a fan of legends and has a Ruins Shard, an item that they think is a key to an entrance of a Legendary place. Your partner always takes this with you on Missions hoping to find the entrance one day.
Both versions will be designed only for the Nintendo DS systems. It will utilize the DS components such as the touch screen. It will also include the Wi-fi capabilities in order for people to rescue friends using the internet instead.
