Critical reception

Nintendo World Report praised the "Colorful, vibrant world to explore", "Fun dungeon crawling gameplay", and "Nice graphics". The site criticised its "Extremely slow pace" and "Repetitive quest system". Official Nintendo Magazine UK said " It's horrible stuff: a yawning, Nietzschean abyss of a game that makes you believe those people who say that there's no point in video games." Cubed3 wrote "Overall, Planet Crashers gets very repetitive for those without patience. The graphics aren't great and there isn't much of a story, but if you have someone that you would like to introduce to the dungeon RPG genre, you can't do much wrong with Planet Crashers. It's a simple yet addictive game that can get hard if not experienced but it is rewarding once you've got the hang of it. If, however, you're an experienced gaming veteran, or like to play games that take more than 40 hours to complete, this is definitely not for you."
Wii Brasil said "Planet Crashers is extremely repetitive and doesn't provide a real challenge in any moment. But there are, indeed, people that may find some fun in this cheap package; I'm talking AbOUT those that just want a portable RPG to play for just a few minutes per day." Nintendo Gamer wrote " Overall, this game misses the mark By Light years. It's fun for a spell, but grows old quickly â making the short burst play style a blessing in disguise. But if you're looking for an RPG that can hold its own in a genre stuffed with stellar titles, unfortunately you'll have to look a lot deeper into space than Planet Crashers". 4Players.de wrote " As a little snack for fans of dungeon crawlers this just might be enough. If you don't expect too much and like to beat up Santa with bananas or carrots, you won't be disappointed."
