Plane of Disease (EQOA)

In EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers, the Plane of Disease is one of the three known planes of existence (excluding any of the minor planes, and Norrath it self) that can be accessed by adventurers. The entrance is accessed via a portal inside a crypt in the zone Dead Hills (NW). One must complete a quest before being allowed to enter the portal, and then another quest to enter the Plane of Disease itself.

Outside of the crypt in Dead Hills are two Necrologists who give the player a quest. The player must kill three Death Knights that are scattered across the continent and return with their hearts. Doing so allows the player to enter the crypt portal, which teleports them to a zone called 'Last Home'. Last Home Is a false infirmary run by cultists who claim to be curing those who are injured in or around the Plane of Disease, but are actually keeping their patients diseased and decrepit. The second quest to enter the Plane of Disease is on the first floor of the infirmary, which involves talking to certain patients, [...] a few Last House Orderlies, and eventually the Last House Physician. [...] the Physician grants one person a robe, which is used to fool the golem guarding the second floor (it should be noted that you don't have to kill him ever again -- once you've turned the robe into the golem, you will be able to pass through any time you come to Last Home). On the second floor of the infirmary, all orderlies will attack you on sight, and there are numerous other undead mobs that will also attack you on sight. At the end of one of the few hallways located on this floor, the walls begin to transition from tiles to solid earth where the Oozing Portal is located. To pass through this portal, the player needs six zombie skins as well as a sinew cord (these items are looted from zombies, and master surgeons respectively). Then the player must craft the items together using tailoring (or find someone to do it for you, either way you must be Level 10 in tailoring). When the player has a zombie flesh suit, they may pass through the portal and into the real Plane of Disease.

The Plane of Disease is a huge rotting canyon, connected by many tunnels and home to some very odd creatures. The only mobs that are friendly here are the Puslings, which actually have merchants that the player can trade with once they receive enough faction from [...] Last House orderlies. The Puslings also offer the main quests of the Plane of Disease, most of which involving the death of named raid mobs. Almost every mob here has a DoT attack of some sort, which are dangerous if not treated quickly. Most mobs are undead, and con light blue, but most things are under-conned. The rivers and lakes here are made up of bile and green ooze, which many creatures seem to thrive in. Cockroaches litter the rotting grounds like a carpet, the very air choked with infection.

Among the undead denizens of this place, there are several named creatures whose legendary size and power echo throughout the plane -- the most obvious of which is Bertoxxulous, the God of Disease himself. Noroxus, a gigantic three headed hydra and the reptilian deity of disease can also be found and can also be killed here. Queen Qy'tha, Fleshripper, Poxathixius, and Urzathixius are also raid mobs here, that can be killed for a quest or simply for fun.
