Pistol Opera (band)
Pistol Opera is a Los Angeles-based rock and roll band founded in 2007 by songwriting team Eli Braden and Toby Semain. Braden is the singer/bassist; Semain is the guitarist/drummer. The band plays live as a 3-piece with Jared Summerell (also of The New Hotness) on drums. They've released one self-titled studio album (featuring the single/video "Do Ya") and several singles, including a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the President titled "Obama", the video for which became a mild internet sensation during the 2008 presidential campaign. The band's second album, Pistol Opera II is reportedly completed and due to be released in June 2009.
