Pipa Kshatriya

Pipa Kshatriya is also known as pipa kshatriya Samaj in Rajasthan and Some part of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh and other states on India. Pipa kshatriya Samaj claim their origin from the Rajput (second highest caste of warriors) or Kshatriya Varna, tracing their descent from their legendary heroes Peepaji and Namdeo.

Pipaji Maharaj

PIPA, was a prince who renounced his throne in search of spiritual solace. He was born at Gagaraun, in present-day Jhalawar district of Rajasthan, AbOUT AD 1425. He was a devotee of the goddess Bhavani whose idol was enshrined in a temple within the premises of his palace. The goddess, it is said, once told him in a dream to visit Kashi (Varanasi) and receive initiation from Ramanand. Pipa went to Kashi, but Ramanand refused to see him in his gaudy robes. Pipa cast off his royal apparel and put on a mendicant’s garment. He returned home after initiation and began to live like an ascetic. At his invitation Ramanand visited Gagaraun, and the raja lent his shoulder to the palanquin carrying him in a procession. Pipa now finally decided to give up his throne and retire to a life of seclusion and meditation

हिंसक शेर मिला एक, कंटक बन माही | देखत तेज तपस्या, गिरा चरण माही ||ॐ जय.
पा उपदेश अहिंसा, सब जन हितकारी | चहूदिशी जय जैकारा, गावात नरनारी ||ॐ जय.
नीशदिन ध्यान धरे जो, वांछित फल पावे | दुख दरिद्र मिट जावे, नवनिधि घर आवे || ॐ जय.
तुम हो दिन दयाला, भक्तन प्रतिपाला | हम सब शरण तिहारी, मेटो भाव जाला ||ॐ जय.
पीपा स्वामी की आरती, जो कोई नर गावे | प्रेम भक्ति पावे, भवजल तीर जावे || ॐ जय.
