Pico (F-Zero series)

Pico is an alien character in the F-Zero series, Nintendo's fast paced futuristic racing video game. He is one of four characters from the original F-Zero SNES game and the only one out of the four that has not been seen outside of the F-Zero series.

Despite Pico's self proclaimed age of 124, he is considered a teenager on his planet. Pico races to quench his thirst for blood and if he wins the F-Zero Grand Prix, he will use the money to host the Pico Cup. Pico is a highly skilled marksman and collects knives. In F-Zero X, and later in GX, he was an assassin of a special unit in the Poripoto army where he carried out a number of dangerous missions.

Pico's species (as well as many other "possible" alien characters) is never named through any game. The term "Poripoto" is confirmed to be the military division whom he belongs to, but not the name of his race, or his home world.

Biography

Machine Information

His machine is known as the Wild Goose, which lacks in acceleration, but its durability and turning make up for it. He has the second highest Max Speed in the original game. The general of Death Window, the most elite fighting unit of the Poripoto military (in the SNES game, "Death Wind" [no "ow"] is the name of his hometown), designed this machine for use in command of the unit. When the general retired, the Wild Goose's military history was recognized, and it was adopted for racing. It is very resistant to damage and was made to perform attack runs. However, its weak acceleration and below-average drifting ability in corners are a bit disconcerting.

The Wild Goose is a very good ship for beginners to use. It excels at cornering. New players will like its strong boost and the great amount of leeway they get when piloting a ship with an A body. However, experts can see the Goose's flaws; it has a lack of acceleration, but its top speed is quite low. What it has in key components, the machine lacks in technical ones.
