Phaëthon (band)
Phaëthon is a moderately progressive hard rock band from the Worcester/Boston area of Massachusetts. Two albums have been self-released (one with the help of the Trash Talking Hoodlums Temp Label), and the band is currently working on writing a third. The band is notable and significant musically because of their revival of rock ideals and largely do-it-yourself nature, with both albums so far being written solely by one person and recorded alone in a basement. This was because the writing and recording for Foulplay and the writing for Gravity began well before there was any kind of established performing band. However, this will change when the band finishes writing (and subsequent recording) of their third album.
Discography
The albums Foulplay and Gravity are both solo efforts by guitarist/vocalist Lucas Gustafson. Although in the liner notes the band is listed as a live band, Lucas performs all instruments and vocals on these two albums.
