Peter G. Schiff
Peter G. Schiff MBA (born April 4, 1952) is an American businessman and a Thoroughbred racehorse owner and breeder.
Raised in a family with a long tradition in American finance, he is the son of John M. Schiff of The New York investment banking firm Kuhn, Loeb & Co. His mother was Edith Baker, a granddaughter of the most powerful commercial banker of his era, George Fisher Baker. Peter Schiff graduated from Lake Forest College in 1974 and today is Chairman of its Board of Trustees. He went on to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
A resident of Oyster Bay, New York, Peter G. Schiff is president of Northwood Ventures LLC in Syosset, a company he founded in 1983. He is the owner of Fox Ridge Farm, Inc. through which he breeds and races Thoroughbred horses. A member of the New York Racing Association ( NYRA) and The Jockey Club, Schiff is also involved in steeplechase racing.
