Persirau Berau
Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Berau, commonly known as Persirau, is an Indonesian football club based in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan. They currently compete in the Liga 4 East Kalimantan zone.
History
Playing in the Liga Indonesia Second Division in the 2004 season, Persirau finished last in their group (5th) with one draw and three losses. They were drawn in Group A of the East Kalimantan zone alongside PSTK Tarakan, PSN Nunukan, Persemal Malinau, and Persibul Bulungan. Their group stage was played at Datu Adil Stadium in Tarakan.
In 2009, Persirau competed in the Liga Indonesia Second Division. They were drawn in Group XV alongside three other Kalimantan teams, namely Persista Sintang, ISI Putra Balikpapan, and Persipas Paser.
In the 2014 Liga Nusantara for the East Kalimantan zone, Persirau participated alongside eight other teams, namely Persikukar Kutai Kartanegara, Persikubar West Kutai, Persibon Bontang, Perselan Sanga-Sanga, KSU Samarinda, Praja Pemkot Balikpapan, ISI Putra Balikpapan, and PS PU Bontang. The competition was held at the Palaran Stadium in Samarinda.
Persirau then competed in the 2015 Liga Nusantara for the East Kalimantan zone. In their first match on 4 June 2015, at Palaran Stadium, Persirau lost 1–4 to Persikutim East Kutai. However, this season was cancelled because FIFA suspended the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI).
